Description Fedor Isakov CLA 2006-03-20 13:32:42 EST
In my scenario the semantic model may contain references to external objects. In order for a semantic link to an external object to appear on the diagram I have to manually add a shortcut to that object, and then close and re-open the diagram. It would be great if the shortcuts were added to the diagram automatically, immediately on discovery of such links.

A dumb solution for Taipan example

With this patch applied, the Taipan editor displays external objects referenced from the model if they are connected to other (internal) objects.

The problems with this: a) it's probably not terribly optimized (semantic connections are iterated over twice, etc.); and b) the shortcut symbol is not displayed on the imported object.
