I (and probably a whole lot of other people) use mark occurances with ctrl+. & ctrl+, a lot.

But there should be an option to mark occurances of string literals.
For example, every occurance of the string literal "COLUMNNAME" would be marked (highlighted in yellow as usual). There should be an setting to have case insensitive matching too so that if desired marking "COLUMNNAME" would also mark "ColumnName".

It would also be nice to have ctrl+shift+g on string litterals return all instances of that string in the workspace but I think mark occurances would be more helpful.
