One internet test that comes up every now and then is working with limited bandwidth. This test is different from working disconnected and working with a high speed or conistent internet connection. I'd like to suggest (after hearing from others) that a bandwidth throttle be added to the TCP/IP monitor. I'm thinking of a slider that allows me to select between 0 and an upper limit such as 300kb per second.
This is an entirely reasonable feature request, but we have no concrete plans to implement and no resource to do it with. Therefore, I am putting this bug into "later" state for now and we can reopen when we have a plan to implement this.
Tim, can this item work itself into a 2.0 plan? If not, can we reopen, leaving the helpwanted keyword, so someone may be able to assist with this?
Given current resource, I don't think this will make our 2.0 plan. I'm ok with reopening it as helpwanted, except that then it shows up in the list of things I'm supposed to do :). If we can tweak the query or filter appropriately then let's go ahead.
Jeff, any ideas as to how we can better setup our queries to ignore help wanted items for planning purposes (when they're out of the current plan) but leave them visible for contributors to find?
This is part of a mass update to close out all stale WTP bugs which are in the resolved state without an appropriate targeted version. If you feel this bug was closed inappropriately, please reopen.
Bugs resolved with "Later" should not have been closed, reopening this bug.
Pushing back to the Resolved->Later state.
re-opening to change resolved-later to open-Future
This is a great idea... which we've never quite had time for or received help. Since it is now over 4 years old I am closing it. Please reopen if you still want to pursue.
