Description Richard Gronback CLA 2005-10-28 15:21:45 EDT
The runtime should optionally support filtering by element type, property, or
regular expression.
Comment 1 Steven R. Shaw CLA 2005-10-31 11:15:30 EST
This isn't currently in the diagram runtime plan. This could be done by a
client currently by having an editpolicy on the diagram that listens to some
criteria stored in a style and then sets the visibility on those view elements
accordingly.

I'm removing the target milestone to reflect that this isn't in plan by the
diagram team. Was the generation team planning to support this?

Reassigning to the generation side, and targeting 2.0 timeframe.

Changing component.

I'm currently working on the very same issue see my early reflexion in bug#209805...Could it be achieved as a GMF service?
This filter service could be called either at creation time (to ensure filtering a newly created element) or from the action bars (activate filter, deactivate filter, configure filter).
