Description Alex Shatalin CLA 2005-10-06 10:47:01 EDT
Generate with GMF diagram which could contain node N1 with two compartments c1
and c2 which could contains two kind of inner elements: i1 and i2. As a result
you'll get diagram with tools set which allows you to create all these 3 types
of elements (N1, i1, i2).
- Create N1
- Create i1 by dropping corresponding tool upon c1 compartment of N1 -> inner
element created and visualized in c1
- Create i1 by dropping tool upon c2 -> inner element i1 created in c2
compartment.

Would be great to either relocate this i1 element to c1 compartment on
creation or prevent user from creating i1 in c2 compartment - allow creation
of i1 only in c1.

In current state it is possible to create element only in it's own compartment. So, the behavior is correct.

Only one improvement - it'll be more usable to allow element creation in any compartments (so to say, just in the siagram element) and then relocate created element into the correct compartment.

Comment 4 Richard Gronback CLA 2006-07-24 09:46:30 EDT
Can we add to 2.0?
Comment 5 Anthony Hunter CLA 2007-05-01 09:22:17 EDT
Since GMF 2.0 M6 was released April 5, 2007, doing a bulk move of all open Bugzillas currently on M6 to 2.0 M7. Owners will need to access if the issue really is targetted for 2.0 M7.
