I'm using the Aug 08 runtime and see that while the rich text info is 
maintained when, for example, cutting and pasting from a plugin.xml source 
editor it is not maintained when cutting and pasting from a java editor.

To repro: Simply open any java file and copy some text that has color-coded 
text (i.e. comment and code). Paste into Wordpad...no color info.

Am I missing a preference parhaps, I'm sure that this used to work...

Also happens in the 3.1 drop.
