It would be nice to have a more powerful web descriptor editor. The developer
should be able to get a list of classes when they edit the <filter-class> or
<servlet-class>. <filter-mapping> and <servlet-mapping> should see the filters
and servlets that have been defined in the web.xml file.

This is a resonable feature request, though, honestly, won't get a lot of attention from us, at least for a while, so am marking as "help wanted" in case someone else eventually wants to tackle this.

Indeed, a valuable suggestion. The web.xml (and other deployment descriptors as well) code assist could be linked to the underlying Java EE model. 

However, I doubt we have resources to plan this for 3.1. Any contribution from the community would be greatly appreciated.
