Description Joel Schaerer CLA 2005-06-30 07:03:18 EDT
I found the bug when pasting a file to the same directory. This obviously
results in a name conflict and the "name conflict" window shows up alright;
however it is modal and UNDER the "Progress Information" window. The program
then appears to be frozen.

Solution: Display the name conflict window over the "Progress information" window.

System Information:

Eclipse 3.1 GCJ with CDT
Fedora core 4 x86

hum... Is anyone supporting eclipse? How can a bug stay open for so long without even an answer?
Comment 2 Doug Schaefer CLA 2006-05-10 10:55:31 EDT
Eclipse is open source and free and support is provided by the community. In this case, no one in the community has deemed this problem severe enough, or even fixable for that matter, to spend time on. If you have a patch to submit, we'd be happy to look at it.

Thank you for the answer. I was wondering if the bug system was in use at all, now I know :)
Also, I thought eclipse was backed by IBM, that's why I thought there would be more support. Well, once again, thanks for your answer, and thanks for taking the time to support eclipse.
