According to http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/java/infolibrary/prog_guide/hotspot.html#- XdoCloseWithReadPending the problem has been fixed in Sun's JRE 1.4.2.02. Eclipse 3.0 plan specifices 1.4.2.00 as minimum JRE required by Eclipse on HP. Once we increase the required version, the problem will goes away, and we can clean the readme and click through. Jim, Can we cange the required Java2 version for HP from 1.4.2.00 to at least 1.4.2.02 in 3.1 plan? I will make a note to update this in a forthcoming plan rev. I see the plan lists 1.4.2.06 VM as minimum for HP, so the problem no longer exists. Jim, could you please remove the section about -XdoCloseWithReadPending from the readme and HP click-through. Thanks. fixed for next build |
