Description Ed Willink CLA 2020-10-30 11:26:27 EDT
For the last may be year I have been annoyed because a seemingly useless "Choose a previously entered expression>" line has been added to waste valuable space in the Variables View. I hadn't got round to raising a bug.

While raising Bug 568398, I rummaged around looking for possible places to expand the exception. I fell over Show Details as->Default Viewer.

Fantastic, the annoying line has gone.

This bug. Why has the default changed? If some user wants and can understand an annoying line they should need to select it, not have it imposed and then have to search the settings to see how to undo the unwanted 'progress'.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
