More information is required. How is your J9 set up? I.e. what is the home directory? are default libraries used? etc. Cannot reproduce. OK, I can now replace this under IBM's JRE. I start up a junit suite but stop the tests before the suite is done. The stack cannot be cleared from the Debug view after this. Need explicit steps. What do you mean by "stop" (i.e. terminate, or suspend?). What do you mean by "cleared"? By 'stop' I mean terminate & by 'clear' I refer to the expected functionality of hitting the fifth button from the left on the Debug view's titlebar. Can you provide a sceen shot of a terminated VM that cannot be cleared? It sounds like it is not terminating properly. Created attachment 1833 [details]
A screenshot of ther Debug view with some undead VMs.
This could be related to a known Linux VM bug. When a thread is suspended on Linux (IBM VM), the VM does not termiante properly. See bug# 1631. Does "terminate & remove" work? I think you are correct about the dep on bug 1631 and yes, Terminate & Remove works like a charm. Marking as dup. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 1631 *** |
