As this bug is not scheduled for SR2 I don't expect any eager commits. Same applies for Xpand and MWE btw.
Due to the fact that the logging dependency is reexported by one some of the affected plugins, changing this one to package imports will break backwards compatibility anyway.

dont know what Xtext is using,
but normaly org.apachae.log4j is enough
