Re: [science-iwg] Q3 Topics and Issues Report

Hi Mike,

Here you go (note the forward looking statement - the release is going out later this week...)

New & Noteworthy:
   * The Eclipse Science Community released our second official simultaneous release in October. This release features five projects covering data structures, visualizations, scripting, workflows and LaTeX editing.
   * Eclipse Science WG now consists of 11 open source projects, 15 member organizations, 32 open source developers and over 1.5 MLOC that are focused on creating open source software for scientific applications.
   * The newest project is Eclipse XACC which provides a hybrid programming model for combining classical and quantum processors.

Regards,
Tracy
