Re: [science-iwg] ECE Science Unconference?

I'd be happy to come. Ideally with relevant topics e.g. a possible STEM integration (after meeting with Jamie or others from Almaden around JavaOne) or should it be of interest to the Unconference also how JSR 363 could be used. At least that makes it easier for my client to spare me a day;-)

Can't say who or what caused massive download figures for JSR 275 (https://bintray.com/keilw/maven/javax.measure%3Ajsr-275#statistics ~14k downloads alone in the last 30 days!) but the version 0.9.3 is a clear indicator it must be via GeoAPI, so either Apache SIS, uDig or other projects keep using it on a much larger scale.

Until GeoAPI 3.x or 4 switches to JSR 363 (like e.g. Parfait just did) there's nothing to do, but at least then it would be beneficial, because 275 is "inofficial" and I have no idea if it takes 15k, 50k or 500k downloads per year to raise more than an eyebrow at Oracle Legal?;-)

I'm in Frankfurt right now (so not too far by train) and based on current project plans I should also be till November or more.

Regards,

Werner
