HI Janos, Christian,

I am about to send emails to all the working groups to start planning for the Unconference day.
I expect the Science working group will plan a session during the Unconference, and talking about scripting in this session is certainly a good idea.

But doing a session at the Unconference and doing a BOF are two different things. 
I would expect that at the Unconference, you take more time to discuss between the committers, contributors an users of EASE whereas a BOF is intended to reach out to the larger attendance of the main Eclipse conference.

So in my opinion, you should do both ;).
