Wonderful news Alain, and welcome!

Dear All,

Airbus would like to join the Science IWG as a Participant Member.

We are already involved as a Solutions Member in the Eclipse Foundation for several years, and we’re also member of the steering committee of the Polarsys IWG for our critical and embedded software developments.

For the last months we have paid a particular attention for the activities and projects of the Science IWG. These projects are very interesting for our Flight Physics domain, especially three of them:

-       the DAWNSci project for plotting and handling numerical data;

-       the AnalysisRPC project for Java and Python integration;

-       the parallel computation tools for HPC or LSF jobs.

I’ve already been in touch with some of you about these projects and we are convinced that these projects will enable the use of the Eclipse platform in our science-related activities.

I propose that we could met at the next EclipseCon France for those who will be present, perhaps also during the Unconference day if the Science IWG has planned something for this day?

Best regards,
