Re: [science-iwg] Science Working Group Meeting in Trondheim 2015

Jan/all,

Thanks a lot for the update. While I don't know exactly where I'll be based, most clients appreciate to "miss" me as little as possible, so I am flexible but would prefer a meeting closer to the Mars DemoCamp.

While this year my booth at Maker Faire Trondheim was a bit overshadowed by a Rock Guitar maker right next to me, I expect some nice synergies with projects like SmartHome next year, so if the organizers offered me a slot I'd be very much looking forward to participate there, too.

In fact, I may spread the word with them if anybody was interested to present in Nuremberg next June at DWX' 15. I may have mentioned it, but here's an English CFP now, too: http://www.developer-week.de/Call-for-international-Papers

I am on the Advisory Board for Java and likely other tracks around IoT and Maker related proposals, so I'd welcome any proposal in this area from members of the Science WG or others (I mentioned it to Ralph already in German, will add the hint about the International CFP as it's equally interesting to IoT of course)

Kind Regards,

Hei All,

As the date for the Meeting in Trondheim seems to have settled for August, I will close the poll by the end of this week (Fr 13:00). If anyone wants to add to the poll, now is the last chance.

Assuming the poll won't change too drastically, the next question is about the length of the meeting. Would you prefer a 2 day meeting on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th, or a tightly squeezed meeting before the Mars DemoCamp on Thursday 27th only? (Obviously, I'm completely unbiased on this ;-) )
Remember there will also be the Trondheim Maker Faire 2015 on Friday 28 and Saturday 29th of August.

Med vennlig hilsen / Best regards,
