Re: [science-iwg] OpenScience

Matt,

I may have heard of JMol before, but otherwise no. As it only got 2 succesful projects over a rather long period and seems backed by just a single university, the reach outside that university may be limited, but listing it under "other projects" in the Science WG Wiki similar to JScience and other projects probably couldn't hurt.

While it does not look like JMol uses Eclipse or EPL (the license sounds like GPL, in most cases not too compatible with Eclipse or other "Commercial Open Source" communities;-) one could reach out to the project lead to see, if they'd be interested to collaborate. Along the lines of that "Guest" membership maybe?

@Mike/all,
Congratulations on the creation of the Science WG.

Werner
