I did filter a few that look very similar. In those cases, I tried to pick the design that was obviously cleaner/stronger and somewhat favour the artist who came up with the design concept first. Please let me know on-list if I've missed anything you feel is important.

For this phase, we're aiming at picking the top 6 artists to compete in the final round. If we can agree on a clear winner, we can skip that and celebrate a new logo immediately.

For what it's worth, there are some really great designs including some impressive ones.
