Subject: [rt-pmc] SMILA source code check-in

Hi PMC fellows,

Last week I have been discussing the further approach of checking in
source code for the SMILA project with the project leads.
We agreed on preparing CQs for the code they have been producing for
their project.

https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2788
https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2789

I think it is important for their project to show that they actually
provide code and functionality, even if not all CQs on dependencies
are approved by the IP team. They agreed (and stated that in the
respective CQs) that they would remove dependencies on third party
code that is currently under investigation in case it gets rejected.

So I went ahead and gave approval for those two CQs (for our PMC).

Because some of the discussion was happening in the background I
wanted to let you know on the mailing list.

Cheers,

Jochen
