Re: [recommenders-dev] No projects in the link provided on the Source Code page in the Community tab of home page.

Sir,
I did try re-installing, making sure that I added the Core Recommenders > Core project and selecting the Java 8 version during the installation, but it ended the same way. In fact, the Oomph logs using both the versions (attached), look almost the same even after switching to the Java 8 version.

Also, in the Variables window(attached), during the installation, there is no 'Target Platform' option, which according to the installation instructions from the site, I'm supposed to keep as 'None'.

And, when I 'Authenticate...' my 'Eclipse password for Bugzilla/Hudson' (in the Variables Window), it shows an Authentication Status window (attached), as invalid, though I've checked that password by logging in to Bugzilla and the dev.eclipse.org website.
Hope that helps you get me through.

Thanks,
Smit

Oh, and based on your log file, it looks like you’re running Oomph with Java 9.

I don’t know if Oomph is compatible with that, yet. Try switching to a stable Java 8 release.

I tried executing the Oomph setup using the Eclipse IDE for Eclipse Committers (Neon) product as you did.

It failed the first time but worked on the second try. As Eclipse servers are notoriously unreliable, it may be that you simply had bad luck and an important server was down. Try it again.

If it still fails, did you add the Code Recommenders > Core project?

Hi,

Can you copy&paste the entire Oomph log (the content of the lower part of the window)? The screenshot doesn't show everything.

Hi,

I went through with the Oomph Installer as you suggested, and got stuck here (screenshot of the window attached). Went back, but don't know what "different settings" to choose. Please guide further.

Thanks,
Smit

Hi,

The link on the Community > Source Code tab is not a direct link to the Git repository but links to an about page that tells you how to checkout and build the code.
I recommend following this advice.

If you did clone from the correct URL (http://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/recommenders/org.eclipse.recommenders.git), then it is possible that you tried to import regular Java projects instead of Maven projects.

The easiest way to set up an Eclipse with the Recommenders source is using Oomph, though. How to do so is described on the about page (http://git.eclipse.org/c/recommenders/org.eclipse.recommenders.git/about/)

I am not sure why you couldn't find the project in Gerrit; your search string works for me. However, the actual project name is "recommenders/org.eclipse.recommenders". Try searching for that.

I hope this helps and look forward to any contributions you might make.

Cheers
Johannes

Hi all,
I was trying to clone the git repositories of Code Recommenders using the link provided on the Source Code page in the Community tab of home page of Code Recommenders from my Eclipse Neon.2. But after copying the link and moving to Next windows, I could not move forward through the Import projects window, which said "No projects found" and the Next tab was disabled.
In fact, I also tried using the link obtained by logging in to Gerrit and searching for the "org.eclipse.recommenders" project. But the result was the same. Help needed.
