Hi recommenders-dev,
Hi soc-dev,

this is your weekly status report for the GSoC 2014 project Livedoc [XXL].

What happened last week?

Last week, I worked on the JDK 8 support for Livedoc, which will be a huge step towards the 0.11 release.
Currently, the change is in Gerrit:

With JDK 8, we can also say goodbye to these annoying bugs:

• https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=435305
• https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=432454

and Livedoc will be able to handle some more exotic Javadoc cases :)

Atm I'm waiting for JDK 8 support on our Code Recommenders HIPP.
I can't build the JDK 8 compatibility  commit without Java 8 support, ofc :/
Unfortunately,  I didn't foresee this build failure.

 
What will be (hopefully) done next week?

Next week, we will release Livedoc 0.11, with:

• JDK 8 support (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=432418)
  
• -Xdoclint feature of Javadoc 8 (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=435940)
  
• an out of the box usecase (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=431469)
