technology.recommenders.incubator Committers,
This automatically generated message signals that Johannes Dorn has
nominated Yasser Aziza as a Committer on the
technology.recommenders.incubator project. The reason given is as follows:

By this e-mail, I'd like to nominate Yasser Aziza as committer for the
recommenders.incubator project.

As you probably have seen on recommenders-dev or soc-dev already, Yasser is
doing great work on the the Code Recommenders Privacy project as part of
this years GSOC.

Here is a short description of his project, titled =?UTF-8?Q?=C3=83=C2=A2=C3=A2=C2=82=C2=AC=C3=85=C2=BEEclipse?= approved
data =?UTF-8?Q?collection=C3=83=C2=A2=C3=A2=C2=82=C2=AC=C3=85=C2=93=3A?=
In order to understand how and for which reasons developers are using
Eclipse, many Plug-ins want to collect some usage data. The main problem
with any data collection technology is privacy, therefore plug-ins should
ask for approval before collecting usage data. The goal of this project is
to collect such user approval before sending the data to any external
server. Any operation that uploads data must be =?UTF-8?Q?=C3=83=C2=A2=C3=A2=C2=82=C2=AC=C3=85=C2=93opt-in=C3=83=C2=A2?=
 =?UTF-8?Q?=C3=A2=C2=82=C2=AC=C3=82=C2=9D=2E?=

=?UTF-8?Q?Here=C3=83=C2=A2=C3=A2=C2=82=C2=AC=C3=A2=C2=84=C2=A2s?= a brief statement from Yasser: "I will continue working on
the privacy project trying to make it the
official Eclipse privacy framework. I will also try to convince other
developers to contribute to the Eclipse foundation and especially to Code
Recommenders."

We'd be happy to have Yasser on board!

Johannes

one week). Yasser Aziza must receive at least three +1s and no -1s for a
successful election.

Eligible Committers must cast their votes through their My Foundation
portal page (do NOT just reply to this email; your vote will not be
correctly recorded unless you use the portal):

    http://portal.eclipse.org/

    Marcel Bruch
    Johannes Dorn
    Patrick Gottschaemmer

the part of the candidate take more time than allowed, a new election will
have to be held.
