Will the release include a Javadoc website with a bunch of Eclipse plugins (and JRE?) being rendered using Livedoc? A release also demands a website to be in place that describes how to use Livedoc and a blog post that features new and noteworthy features. Is this already planned? A software release is nothing without some buzz around it ;)
Just to shed some more light on versioning of incubation projects:
For details on the incubator projects, please check 4.9 [1] of the Eclipse Development process. We stick the incubation rules of having only pre-1.0 releases [2] for incubators as long as it is not part of the official Code Recommenders Release.
Thanks,
Marcel
Hi Patrick,
We're excited about releasing version 1.0 of Livedoc next week (mark the
11/28/2013 in your calendar ;) ).
The main feature(s), which I'm developing this week (indeed, I'm
unfortunately not quite done with this) are
not do dampen your enthusiasm, but the next version after 0.5 is 0.6. ;-)
Seriously, version 1.0 should mark graduation from the incubator.
But yes, let's have a release next week with all the features you
mentioned. Looking forward to it.
Andreas
