What I have planned for the next week:

• Extend the o.e.r.stats plugin through an Extension Point, which allows third parties to build their own metrics (own tree items and pages)

Getting extension points right is tricky and probably needs several iterations to get right. I'd be glad to look at it as soon as you come up with a first proposal.
