social snippets and code search sounds great. I just created a bug for social snippets to combine the discussions under a single URL [1]. All people interested in this bug please add yourself to the cc list and ask your questions ( which features are wanted, how to start, how to run etc.) there.
Chris, if you have any suggestions please post them there too. We are curious to hear about them.

My name is
Chris and I'm really interested in a few of the available
projects for GSoC. I'm a 4th year undergrad from Canada and I'm
currently working on Eclipse for UCOSP (UCOSP is a program where
Canadian students get university credit for working on an open
source project under the advising of a mentor, somewhat similar
to GSoC), so I’m very familiar with Eclipse. While I can
honestly say I'm interested in all of the proposals, I'm
heavily interested in the Workspace-Local Code Search and the
Social Snippets proposals (especially Social Snippets). I read
through the mailing list archives, and it seems like there have
been some inquiries about the Workspace-Local Code Search. In
the case of the Social Snippets do you have any more
information, tips, or advice? I'm playing
around with Snip Match and I think I have some solid ideas.
