Re: [recommenders-dev] Upcoming Conference Talks - Prototype Demos

Hi Marcel

Is it possible for you to demo some project (like Precise) only in the latter three talks?

I'd be glad to present Precise on your behalf to the audience at  Eclipse Day Delft, JUGS, and JavaOne!

Thanks a lot!

The deadline for JavaOne slides (and thus the topics to present there) is the 20th of August.
What do you think: when can we make reliable plans what will be ready for JavaOne? And what does "ready" mean?
You surely know that presenting someone else's tools on stage in front of a geek audience is somewhat thrilling :-)

Yes, I know. Actually I just finished a short live demo of a GUI prototype in my workshop representation :)
As for the plans, I will first return to Shanghai (still in Seoul...) and discuss with other two team members to make sure of their time budget. Then we will continue cleansing the existing code of the project.

So, shall we begin to make the reliable plans for JavaOne in the next week (probably on August 1st or 2nd)?

Best,
Cheng

Best,
Marcel

Hi Marcel,

Great to hear that you will demonstrate code recommenders in so many talks.
Since I have just set up my new team and finished a workshop travel, I am not sure whether we can get a stable version of Precise for the first two talks in August.

Hi all,

I'm going to give a few talks about Code Recommenders in the next two months and I'd like to demo the complete tool suite (if possible).

Scheduled talks:

1. RheinJUG (Java User Group) - 30.08.12
2. Company Talk msg systems - 31.08.12
3. Pecha Kucha Talk at Java User Group Stuttgart - 21.09.12
4. Eclipse Day Delft - 27.09.12

and finally:

5. Java One - first week in October (slides deadline 20. August).

I would be glad to present tools like Snipmatch, Precise, Callchain++, or the upcoming Definition Recommender there too - given that they are stable and fast enough to demo them ;) Let me know if you would like to contribute a demo scenario for the tools you lead the development.

Thanks,
Marcel
