Re: [recommenders-dev] Code Recommenders supported by EXIST research transfer programme

Sure! We discussed a few ideas on that a while ago. And I still think there are a lot of opportunities.
The open source project will be the driver for lots of future ideas, I'm sure. Amazing times ahead ;)

That's awesome! Congratulations. Would definitely like to see SnipMatch included in the commercialization effort.

Hi guys,

you may have noticed that I finished my PhD a few months ago and was looking for a funding that allows us to continue full-time work on the project since then.

I'm now happy to announce that Code Recommenders will be supported by the German government's EXIST research transfer programme. The goal of this funding is to make the vision of Code Recommenders real and build a business model around the project's vision that allows us to further advance the vision of Code Recommenders after the funding period. Yet we don't know how this model will look like but the Eclipse project will be an integral part of it - like Mylyn is for Tasktop and Xtext for Itemis.

Best,
Marcel
