If you want to discuss GUI layouting I can greatly recommend "Pencil"[1]
for wireframe sketching. It's even possible to generate "clickable" HTML
demos for your layouts. Of course if all people involved are familiar
with HTML and can edit the code directly - no need for Pencil.

I personally find it quite "refreshing" to concentrate on the elements
rather than the overall look and thats where wireframe sketching helps
me a lot.
