Re: [photran] Breakpoints cannot be set in PHOTRAN 8/PTP6

Hi Greg,

When I right click in the left margin I see the shown below context menu

Toggle Breakpoint

Add breakpoint

Toggle Breakpoint Enabled

Breakpoint Properties...

Breakpoint Types        ->

--------------------------

Go to Annotation

--------------------------

Add Bookmark...

Add Task...

--------------------------

Show Quick Diff

Show Line Numbers

--------------------------

Preferences...

--------------------------

Resource Configuration  ->

If I select Breakpoint Types option I see the only item:  Not Available

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

When you right click in the left margin and select 'Breakpoint Types', what types do you see?

Regards,

Greg

HI,

Breakpoints cannot be set in PHOTRAN 8/PTP6.

The environment:

OS:                                         Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

Java version:                      1.7.0.05

Eclipse IDE:                         4.2 (Juno) Classic  (package eclipse-SDK-4.2-linux-gtk.tar.gz)

CDT:                                       CDT-master-8.1.0.zip

Photran/PTP                     PTP-Master-6.0.1-201206292041.zip

I can create, compile, debug and run Java and   C/C++ programs.

I can create, compile and run FORTRAN – 90 programs.

I can invoke DEBUG perspective for PHOTRAN.

But I cannot set the breakpoints for debugger.

The double click in the left margin on the line where the break point should be set has no effect.

The right click in the left margin on the line invokes the content menu. But the selection of ‘Toggle Breakpoint’ item results in the message “The chosen operation is not enabled”.

The same result happens with Eclipse 4.2/CDT-8.1.0/PTP-6 working with in Windows/MinGW environment.

The FORTRAN debugger in Eclipse 3.7.1/CDT-8.0/PTP-5 works fine.

Thanks

Steve
