I am well familiar with the WTP solution :-)

The Mylyn Connector Discovery looks a promising approach.

Don’t look at WTP solution. It’s an antique that’s way past the point of needing to switch to the more robust solution used by Mylyn and Marketplace Client.

I would suggest you look at how Mylyn and WTP list their list of potential plugins. My guess is that this will be an easier solution for you.

Mike,

This would be the ideal case. But first let's see what content we have, how we will structure it and then see if it will fit in the Marketplace and MPC as a technical solution.

I thought that having a separate marketplace is a privilege reserved for strategic members. It would be great if we can have a separate marketplace for PDT extensions. This is a very flexible solution and is very likely to fit.

I guess we now need to build the list of all potential plugins that would end in this plugin browser. Then we can start experimenting with the browser design so it fits to the complexity of the list we have.

I think you will want to use Marketplace and (perhaps) the Marketplace client for this. Ian Skerrett can help.

You could potentially create a separate marketplace for PDT extensions, for example.
