Yes, it would be great to get summary of the differences, pros/cons,
etc. Joerg, anything in particular you had in mind when you sad "...has
a number of features that are badly missing" ? The more detail
you can supply the better.
Thanks!

Jorg,
thanks, we'll take a look. Always interested in checking out different
update UI's, they are good inspiration.
The definition of the personas is simply another tool to use to try to
reach consensus on the users and tasks in order to make sure the
workflows are simple.

Hi,
I just wanted to propose having at a look at openSUSE's YaST
Software Management Module, which from my experience has a number of
features that are badly missing in the P2 UI.
It's also based on SAT for resolving
dependencies from different sources, so it does have a lot in common
with P2. It made a big leap forward in terms of performance and
usability with openSUSE 11.
It can be quickly tried out without installing openSUSE by
running the openSUSE LiveCD, which is available for download here.
I know this doesn't fit yet into the "personas" scheme as envisioned, but it could
give good inspiration for a basic general-purpose software management
UI.
Regards,
Jörg
