Re: [nebula-dev] Rich Text editor

Hi Ketan,

We are already supporting images to the moment, and a going to add support for simple tables in the nearest time. Yes editor is independent from file format and may be configured to use custom importers/exporters(currently we are working on HTML support now but we are planning to add WikiText and RTF at the some moment also).

Regards,
Pavel

I'm asking this because we've also developed something quite similar (http://studios.thoughtworks.com/images/editor_scenario.gif), it's a StyledText based wiki editor, with support for tables (images is work in progress). Export to HTML is something that's taken care of, but not importing from it.

I'd be more than happy to see this component becoming part of nebula, and hope to contribute to it.

Hi, all

During last few months our company developed beta version of Rich Text Editor component which is based on StyledText widget. Despite of traditional browser based solutions
it provides seamless integration in JFace text editing infrastructure. It already supports: fonts, align, foreground and background colors, links, images, numbered and unnumbered lists.
Currently we are working on loading and saving to/from HTML, as well as on Undo/Redo support.

In addition to using this component in our own projects we are thinking about contributing it to Eclipse Nebula project. We are not sure that this component will be worth full addition to
Eclipse Nebula, so we decided to ask Nebula community about it.  Please let us know what do you think about contribution of such component in Eclipse Nebula.
