Of course. LSP4E can and should use the typical OSGi/API rules in that case, and define a minimal version to depend on for Platform bundles. In that case, it means that the depedency on org.eclipse.jface.text would set a minimal version to 3.13 (Photon). When installing into Oxygen, unless the operation is part of a global update, p2 will not try to install 0.5.0.
