Re: [jdt-core-dev] Agenda for tomorrow's index discussion

Thanks for the agenda Stefan.

Some additional topics:

- What is the planned timeline?
- Performance measurements for different scenarios - which ones?
- Impact of the new approach for projects of small and "normal" size

Sent by:        jdt-core-dev-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx

1. Why are we building a new index?

2. What do we hope to achieve from this meeting?

(Our hope: get agreement about creating a branch in the jdt.core and jdt.ui repositories which sxenos can commit to in order to collaborate with others, and plan the remaining tasks.)

3. Discussion of the high-level design of the index. Q&A about the design so far.

4. What role do the JDT core commiters want to have in this? Who will be doing code reviews?

5. What is most important to work on next?

6. Discuss naming and the PDOM prefix.

7. Indexing time & precomputed indices.

8. What are the acceptance criteria?
