+1 from me :)
So .. let's restart that discussion ;-)
Since I have a bad feeling giving my own request a +1, please Kai
and Benjamin, have a look and make your decision. :)
Thanks

I’d be fine with an informal agreement here.
So shall we go for Wayne’s suggestion?
At least two +1 and no -1 within one week?
Best regards,
Kai
I don't recall
seeing this formalized by any PMC.

Hm,
So it would be ok to just define it and write it
down in the wiki? Is there a good reference in the
wiki how this is written down?
Thanks for helping

Other PMCs tend to use the standard one week of
voting practice. We tend to be flexible with
regard to the standard 3 x +1 requirement,
however.
The Technology PMC approves many of these with
only the initial pitch (usually by a PMC member;
okay... usually me) and a +1 from any other PMC
member. I believe that we're good-to-go if at
least two PMC members are involved in the
discussion.

Ok, Jens just corrected me that this discussion is necessary in any case.
So I vote +1 and wonder what process we should agree on within the PMC to deal with such CQs?
Shall we:
- approve if there is no veto within 1 week?
- approve if at least x PMC members gave a +1?
What is a common practice within other PMCs?

Looks straight forward to me, I just added a +1.
Just to understand the process: Is it required to send e-mails to the PMC mailing list or should the PMC leads receive bugzilla notifications about pending CQs?
And under which conditions is a discussion necessary? From what I had learned so far is that pre-req CQs are actually seen less strict than other CQs, where no discussion is required. I am asking as I actually still have to create a pre-req request for my whole SmartHome target platform, which is pretty big…
Sorry, if this are stupid questions, but I am strill trying to get into the new role and welcome any mentoring.
Cheers,
Kai

Hello PMC,
the Eclipse SCADA Project would like to add "libevent" as a
pre-requisite. It is expected that the library is already on the user's
machine. Neither the source nor the binaries will be distributed.
This is the discussion for CQ8604 [1].
This request needs to be approved (+1).
Thanks
Jens
