If we can reproduce the issue, we have a typical case of bad interaction in menus, we can use as concrete case to be discussed at the Unconference https://wiki.eclipse.org/Platform/summitece2016

But it's really the model of Eclipse Platform, and I don't think it's something we need to fight. Instead, reporting bugs to project that breaks some good usability rules and contributing patches to them seems like a simpler and more doable thing.
