Re: [epp-dev] Packaging and shipping runtimes (OpenJ9) as p2 untils in EPP?

Hi all,

As reported on https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=506244#c70 , I've made significant progress on packaging OpenJDK+OpenJ9 from AdoptOpenJDK as p2 (un)installable units with a Tycho-based build, reusable in any RCP app. There is of course still much work to do, but the current state seems enough to move forward and officialize this effort a bit more and start sharing it for further testing and contributions

So I'd like to contribute my work to EPP.
Would it still be welcome?

For best efficiency, I think it would be best to have
* a dedicated git repo (org.eclipse.epp.runtime)
* a dedicated CI job
* a dedicated snapshot p2 repo where CI build output is published
* a dedicated bugzilla component
Does it sound good?

I'm ready whenever you are ;) the amount of code I wrote it low (3 pom files, 1 feature, 1 p2.inf, 1 category.xml) so it should requires any CQ.

Cheers,
