A committer election for Jason Mehrens on project Jakarta Activation™ (ee4j.jaf) was started by Lukas Jungmann with this criteria: Jason Mehrens is long time contributor to Jakarta Mail and Eclipse Angus, former JavaMail/JakartaMail projects, and as such has also shown his interest in Jakarta Activation through helping to maintain and evolve it. In relation to the Activation, he is actively supporting users of Activation & Mail through public channels, such as StackOverflow, and also making sure both projects work well in the mobile/android world.
