As part of operating in an open and transparent manner, we ask that committers cite specific examples  (that is, provide links) of contributions that demonstrate merit. At least in part, the committer election record and the emails that it leaves in the archive serve as an example to others of what sorts of contributions they need to make to demonstrate merit enough to gain committer responsibilities.

As a matter of practice, most PMCs will request that the nominating committer follow up the notification email on the PMC mailing list with specific links in the case where a committer has forgotten to provide these in the nomination statement (which can't be changed after the election has started) or include them along with the comment that accompanies their vote (which can be changed).

Please look for this in future elections.
