Re: [ee4j-community] Fwd: Jakarta Logo Submissions-extended 1 day

Both are endangered species.

The Orangutan reminded me a bit of King Louie from the Jungle Book ;-)  https://youtu.be/9JDzlhW3XTM

An older Java release (SE not EE) had the codename Tiger, so that's probably why.

Given the "Big 3" vendors of Java EE are the only ones that were active so far under EE4:
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/ee4j

They should have an interest and hopefully some design resources for that.

@Ben, if LJC joined as a Solutions Member would its members also be allowed to be committers on behalf of LJC giving it the chance to become visible in such stats in the future or is it mainly about voting rights in the WG? Individuals are pretty visible in individual projects (also check MicroProfile) but on the TLP level only companies seem to show.

Speaking as the current author of that book, I didn't really see that.

I'm more concerned that the tiger's _expression_ appears to be giving a
dead-eyed stare to a middle manager - possibly "I can't believe I'm having
to explain the difference between Java & _javascript_ to this guy *again*"

In all seriousness, if people like the tiger, I'm happy to talk to the folk
at O'Reilly and check that there wouldn't be a problem if we want to use it.

Thanks,

Ben
