[eclipse-dev] Update site building support in PDE

Starting with the last integration build (20020107), PDE has a fairly
complete support for building update sites while self-hosting. Update sites
can be created as projects in the workspace and all the necessary files can
be built automatically. Sites and features can be previewed using Update
Manager. If you add WebDav/FTP optional support (available as a separate
download from the standard download page), you can even upload these sites
to a remote server using FTP protocol.

We created a sample document that leads you from a clean workspace to
creating plug-ins, features and sites, to installing the features from thus
created sites back into Eclipse. Self-hosting at its finest!

The document can be found here:

http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/%7Echeckout%7E/pde-ui-home/working/site-builder.html

If you have time to play with it for a while, we will appreciate your
feedback and are willing to make changes based on your suggestions.
