Hi Folks,

I'm happy to report that ECF 3.13.8 is released.  3.13.8 is a maintenance release with just a couple of bug fixes [1].

As usual, download is here [2].

There's a bit of an issue with the maven central certificate handling at the moment, and so it may be a couple of days before the two bundles that were changed in 3.13.8 are deployed to maven central.   I will make another short announcement when that is complete.

FWIW, it seems that particularly with the Internet of Things, ECF's impl of OSGi Remote Services/Remote Service Admin is getting some serious usage.   I believe that the transport independent nature of ECF's impl provides great advantages for those looking to create lightweight, dynamic distributed services, without having to bind service consumers (e.g. clients) to a single protocol.   Combine this with (e.g.) dynamic dependency mgmt and injection, and it provides a very powerful way to construct distributed middleware and applications.

Thanks and onwards,

Scott
