[ecf-dev] Fwd: [iot-wg] Announcing the Open IoT challenge

Hi Folks,

FYI...see the EF announcement below about the 'Open IoT challenge':

http://iot.eclipse.org/open-iot-challenge

I think Wim's Egg Cooker might be a candidate for this...and/or other apps that use Raspberry Pi, Remote Services, GPIO, other 'things', etc.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi,

We are very pleased to announce the Open IoT challenge, a programming contest that encourages people to build Internet of Things solutions on top of open source and open standards.
It is open to anyone, and we are really looking forward to seeing how people will build on top of Eclipse IoT projects, other Eclipse projects like LocationTech, and hopefully much more!

We are asking people interested in participating to apply by January 10, and then they will have until end of February to implement their project.
I would really appreciate if you would help spread the word, and recruit new challengers, by pushing the challenge to your social network.

The website for the challenge is at:
http://iot.eclipse.org/open-iot-challenge

I also blogged some ideas of what I’d personally like to see being implemented: http://blog.benjamin-cabe.com/2014/12/11/announcing-the-open-iot-challenge

Benjamin –
