Hi Folks,
I think it's nearly time for ECF 3.9.1, as a number of 3.9.0 bugs have
been fixed [1], the scp-based file browse capability has been
contributed (thanks J Langley!) [1a], I've implemented a new Etcd
discovery provider [2], there are more docs and tutorials [3], and there
has been some work by Wim on the Raspberry Pi GPIO Remote Service
examples in preparation for EclipseCon Europe, which is going on this week.
My thinking is that we should schedule this maintenance release for
sometime in mid November...e.g. Nov 17. I know that at least the GPIO
work still needs to be merged in with the github repo, and I intend to
do some testing of the Etcd provider using the timeservice tutorials
over the next few weeks.
First question: Other than Wim's GPIO work and the Etcd provider
testing, are there other things that committers and/or contributors
would like to get into the 3.9.1 release? If so, please open a
bug/enhancement request right away.
Second question: Is this good timing of the 3.9.1 release for you? If
not, what would be a better timing?
Thanks,
Scott
