Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] EPL-2.0 feature license available from CBI repository

Note that changing the license feature from 1.0 to 2.0 will not enough either. You will need to update your notice and license files, and also your files headers. The FAQ https://www.eclipse.org/legal/epl-2.0/faq.php and the handbook http://www.eclipse.org/projects/handbook/#legaldoc are authoritative sources for those issues.

Hi

Thanks. Not reading carefully enough. The license is forking from EPL 1.0 to

EPL 2.0 (without Secondary License)
EPL 2.0 With Secondary License

The former, 3.1 in the FAQ, is easy. The latter is hard.

Hi,

according to 3.1. How Do I Re-license from EPL-1.0 to EPL-2.0? [1] you don’t need to ask every contributor to allow relicensing to EPL 2.0; but it is a good idea to consult with your current contributors and notify your users.

Zoltán

Hi

Since my builds pull the license directly from http://download.eclipse.org/cbi/updates/license/ I thought this should be really easy, but then I started reading https://www.eclipse.org/legal/epl-2.0/faq.php

For Eclipse OCL, the IP log lists 20 authors some of whom are no longer active Eclipse users. Am I right in thinking that until I have a re-licensing approval from all 20 out of 20 authors, Eclipse OCL must remain at EPL 1.0?

Hi,

A feature license for EPL-2.0 is now available from the following p2 repositories

http://download.eclipse.org/cbi/updates/license/ (aggregated)

and directly from

http://download.eclipse.org/cbi/updates/license/2.0.0.v20180130-0820

See https://www.eclipse.org/legal/epl-2.0/ and https://www.eclipse.org/legal/epl-2.0/faq.php for details about EPL 2.0.
