[cross-project-issues-dev] Obsolete OCL build artefacts
|
Hi
Like many projects, OCL provides a P2 repo and an All-In-One-Update
site. No change is planned in this, beyond inclusion of additional test
features for downstream projects such as QVT that extend the OCL tests.
OCL also provides a variety of legacy runtime/standalone ZIPs that were
useful for consumers requiring a small footprint in pre-P2 days. It is
not clear that these are useful now that we all use P2 repos. This is an
announcement that production of these ZIPs will stop after M3 unless
anyone specifically requests them. Please comment on [1].
When OCL introduced Xtext editors, a Core P2 repo was created for
consumers wanting a smaller P2 repo (4MB rather than 40MB). Nobody has
complained that this mini-repo was broken 9 months ago, so rather than
repair it, this is an announcement that production of the Core P2 repo
and ZIP will stop after M3 unless anyone specifically requests them.
Please comment on [1].
Regards
Ed Willink
