[cross-project-issues-dev] New remote slaves: slave7 and slave8

Folks,

I've deployed the two remote POWER7 slaves: hudson-slave7 and
hudson-slave8.  These slaves are physically located at OSUOSL and will
only be used for jobs explicitly tied to them.   They differ from our
usual slaves in that:

- they are located in a facility in the United States
- they use the POWER7 architecture, not x86_64
- they have a synced *copy* of /shared/common, but do not have any other
files from /shared
- they do not have access to the local eclipse.org filesystems such as
/gitroot, /svnroot and /cvsroot.  External services must be used to
access code (git://, svn://, pserver, http:// etc).
- they do not have local access to the downloads area or the signing. 
Files must be pulled from the workspace onto build.eclipse.org for signing.

These slaves are ideal for intensive, long-running build and test jobs
and for nightly builds which don't need to be signed.  If you have any
jobs that can be used to test these slaves, please feel free to tie your
jobs to them.  Report any errors or omissions in
