Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Graphiti milestone repository messed up?

These issue should be fixed now and Graphiti is back on the train. An aggregation build is currently running.

FWIW to explain why the M1 version disappeared: it was just a preliminary build we did for M1 that was replaced with another later build. This is part of our standard releng process for the milestones; starting with +0 day we do daily builds and publish them via our milestones update site. For reference (and to be able to easily revert in case of issues) we leave all the builds on the composite site and remove them only after the milestone is done.

I missed the last part for this preliminary M1 build and that caused the issue when I cleaned up our downloads folder and accidentally missed to update the repo…

Just let me know in case you think there is anything wrong with our releng process. And sorry for any inconveniences caused by this.

Michael

I saw some similar issues today, and opened this bug
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=363093

People using/effected by Graphiti may want to watch that bug ... I think Michael will fix and explain soon,
but might effect others "final build" ... and I'm just saying "might", probably not, but worth watching.

And, yes, something does seem wrong with the general graffiti releng process if a build labeled "M1" can so quickly disappear or change.
I noticed (on file system) there were two labled "M3" so gets hard to know what is intended.

But, I'm sure Michael will sort it out soon after he wakes up :) and gets into the office ... while I'm sleeping :)

Hi,

Our CDO build started producing this message:

    org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core.ProvisionException:
    No repository found at http://download.eclipse.org/graphiti/updates/milestones/S-0.9.0M1-201108121454
<http://download.eclipse.org/graphiti/updates/milestones/S-0.9.0M1-201108121454.>

On download.e.o I can see a different timestamp for the M1 drop:

    estepper@build:/home/data/httpd/download.eclipse.org/graphiti/updates/milestones> ll
    drwxr-sr-x  4 mwenz    modeling.gmp.graphiti 4096 2011-08-17 03:37 S-0.9.0M1-201108161410

I do not belive that our build is failing for this reason, it seems a later milestone is picked up. Still it's
irritating and may be a signal for wrong workflows that may cause problems in the future, too.

Cheers
/Eike
