Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Indigo repository respin is complete

Thank you David and to all the other teams that had to react to this change.  All your hard work and long hours are much appreciated!

As documented in bug 349267 [1], the respin requested by the Equinox Project (and Rt PMC), for bug 349105 [2] is now complete.

It wasn't easy, but each step in the process seemed to make sense and the effected projects were very responsive in getting their required changes done. All in all, seven other projects changed code in one way or another, a few just to fix bugs while they had the chance, but most because there was some "indirect" effect they had to react to. So, the total list of projects with some change:

eclipse sdk

ptp
objectteam
jetty

RAP runtime
riena
gyrex
papyrus (with e4 project cooperation)

While I'm sure teams will be continuing to test and verify the staging repo [3] and EPP packages [4] the conclusion (if not obvious) is that yes we will respin to pick up the fix for bug 349105.  It appears safe enough. But I would encourage everyone to (re) test the staging repo, even if you didn't purposely change anything ... you never know when a regression might slip in. :/

Thanks everyone for this extra effort ... our Linux users (and others) will be much happier for it.
